For the first time in the MENA region, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development – OECD – will present its bi-annual international pension report “Pensions at a Glance” from Bahrain. ‘Pensions at a Glance’ is a bi-annual pension report and index that uses 20 parameters to measure and compare pension systems in OECD member countries, including the G20. It focuses on pension reforms carried out by OECD countries in the last two years. The 2021 edition also includes forecasts of retirement income for today’s workers and updated information on key features of pension provisions. The report includes indicators on pension system architecture, pension entitlements, the demographic and economic context in which pension systems operate, older people’s incomes and poverty, retirement income systems finances, and private pensions.
